Laser scanning of a Campsite in Pervolia, Larnaca
After almost 40 years of operation, an old campsite in Pervolia is going to be restored and undergo some redevelopments and improvements. In order to renovate this old space, an accurate and detailed documentation of the existing condition of the buildings was critical. Geoimaging ltd was consulted to offer our 3D laser scanning services to survey the building in high detail. Conventional surveying of an existing building is incredibly time-consuming with huge potential for inaccuracies. On the contrast, 3d laser scanning has made it easier and more precise, time and work saving, but also the intricacies and details of older structures can be captured. The on-site laser measurements that carried out by our experienced personnel were significant in order to draft accurate and detailed as-built floor plans, elevations, cross sections and 360° virtual tours, material that was essential for the renovation engineers to plan, redesign and approve with actual measurements
